In the past eight years I had the pleasure of working with teams at Animoto,&nbsp;Owala, the ECHO Leahy Center for Lake Champlain, The Daily Orange, Meredith Corporation (now DotDash Meredith), Citizens Bank, Inkululeko, Sports Illustrated, and Boston University. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University in the spring of 2019 and a Masters of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Boston University in the spring of 2021. I love working on projects that examine human connection and emotion through designed experiences. Not snowy enough yet to warrant skiing every weekend, but cold enough to make you not wanna leave your bed. With a directive to promote warm-weather trips, the team and I ideated, planned, and produced a set of six candles refelctive of our fav warm locations. I planned a themed photoshoot and the social team took to our channels to set up a giveaway. Working with a small budget, we wanted to give our Summer Black Friday promo a final push for bookings. With the team, I produced stickers, shirts, posters, postcards, decor, and set up the physical shop by decorating doors, sidewalks, and the ice cream case. Our event was slotted for five hours, and thanks to our social posts, influencer outreach, PR, and Union Square foot traffic, we sold out in three hours and generated 59 form submissions and 101 page visits. collaboratorsCam Walsh, Digital DesignerSarah Heingartner, Art Director When I joined Ultimate Break, we were seeing a renaissance of travel in the world. People were getting out there, booking trips, and having experiences of a lifetime. As a brand we wanted to reflect this excitement and decided it was time for a color refresh. Our team of three researched color trends, testing on existed assets, and iterated countless palettes over the course of several months. Our previous palette consisted of blues and oranges and often we ran into the issue where color would look great on a select few photos but would clash or become ultimately unreadible on others. This new palette has a wide range of values and can compliment nearly any asset. Our main four values are Ube, Mojito, Butter, and Aperol with a secondary palette of bold warm and cool tones. Even simple pages and graphics became lost in the sea of other tech blues and alert oranges. The palette can flex with our needs, standing out when we want to and blending in when we need to. In 2022, I headed the visual direction for the campaign which brought in our biggest sales peak yet. Ultimate Black Friday is seperated into four parts, all with the same visual direction: Early Access Sign Up, Early Access Sale, Public Sale, and Public Sale Extension.
